YSCM Camp 0810 - Game Design & Food Biology (June 3-June 14)
Course Description
AM- Game Design with MakeCode Arcade
What’s in a game? During this two-week camp, you will level-up your coding fundamentals while making and learning about games and their essential elements. Using MakeCode Arcade, a retro-style game-building platform made by Microsoft, you will create different types of games with visual programming.
PM- The Biology of Food: A Primer to Food Science
Everyone eats – no doubt about that. But have you ever wondered what makes bread rise? Or what makes certain cheeses smell and taste so funky? And have you ever asked how the body uses the food you are eating? Join us in exploring food through the lens of biology – we will use a hands-on approach to learn how everyday foods are made, why they have the characteristics that they do, and the many processes the human body has to utilize the food that has been consumed. Who knows, it may leave you hungry to learn some more!
