ACES Account and Class Information

Get class information by checking your ACES account. ACES is the online resource center for all your student information (classes, financial aid information, email, library resources, and online courses).

New Students:

After you register for your first course, you will receive an ACES account and password. Remember that it may take up to 48 hours to get access to ACES.

While you wait for an ACES account, you will receive an email to create a temporary password. This password only allows access to the Student Portal. The temporary password will not work after you get an ACES accoun

Existing Students:

If you already have an ACES account, sign in to see your information.

Attendance

For most courses, you must maintain at least an 80% attendance rate to receive a Certificate of Completion. Read the syllabus or ask the instructor to make sure that you understand the attendance requirements.

Some courses require your attendance to be more than 80%. If you take a state regulated course, a specific number of hours must be met to qualify for certification.

Course Age Restrictions

Continuous Education courses are for students that are at least 18 years or older. These courses are designed for adults seeking job skill training for employment.

Some Online, On-Demand courses may not have any age restrictions.

Make sure that you have the following information before you call:

  1. Last four digits of your SSN
  2. ACES ID
  3. Date of Birth
  4. Student Banner ID

Internet Access & Resources

Wi-Fi Access

Use any of our campus or center locations for free Wi-Fi. Access our hotspots from designated parking areas.

Low-Cost Home Internet Service

Alamo Colleges closes the digital divide with low-cost internet services.

Potential benefits include low-cost internet access, no in-home Wi-Fi modem fee, no deposits, no installation fees, and no term commitments for qualifying households.

Orientation to Online Learning (OLRN 0001)

If you are registered in an online class, you are required to take OLRN-0001. This is a no-fee and 0 credit "mini-course."

The purpose of this self-pace course gives you the necessary skills and habits to be successful with online courses and using online learning technologies.

Register for OLRN-0001 in the ACES portal to increase your success.

Parking and VIA U-Pass

CE students can park for free at any area designated as student parking".

As a CE student, you are not eligible for the VIA U-Pass.

Payment Plans

If you are on a payment plan, the payment must be made before the first day of class.

Refunds

You will get a 100% refund if your class is cancelled due to low student enrollment.

If you drop a class or cancel your registration before the first day of class, you will receive a full refund.

Access your ACES account before the first day of class to drop a course or cancel registration. Refunds need 7-10 business days to process.

You DO NOT qualify for a refund if you drop a course once the class has begun.

  1. Online: through the Courses
  2. Walk-In: Contact a Registration Specialist located at any of the five Alamo Colleges or Education Training Centers

Senior Citizens Information

Senior Citizen waivers and audits do not apply to Continuing Education courses. Click here for more information.
