Course Description

“Camp Tooth or Dare” is a weeklong camp designed to provide participants with an idea of what a dental hygienist does and their importance. Participants will learn the who, the what, when and the why of the “Dare of a Healthy Smile”. What does a dental hygienist do to accomplish The Healthy Smile? The dental hygiene camper will experience learning about, where do your teeth bud from, what causes you to frown and to smile. How do you make the right choice for a healthy smile when making food choices and drink choices.  These are just a few of the learning topics, Come and explore the fun profession of dental hygiene with science experiments, creative art, and learn about what is behind the scenes in the dental hygiene clinic. The Palo Alto College Dental Hygiene Program will be available for exploring these findings and for hands-on educational experiences that immerse the camper into the field of dentistry. This camp will broaden your eyes to “Dare to Smile” while igniting your curiosity of the profession of dental hygiene.

Course Outline

This camp is for Incoming 9th- 12th Grade, and Incoming PAC Freshmen only!

Notes

Age range: Incoming 9th- 12th Grade, and Incoming PAC Freshmen

Camp Times: 9 a.m. - 4 p.m.

Lunch Time: 12:00 p.m. - 1:00 p.m.

(You can drop your child off as early as 7:00 a.m. and pick them up no later than 6:00 p.m.)
